Compare Georgia to another Character.
Georgia, to me, is like Jamie off of "A Walk to Remember". They are both diagnosed with an illness. They know they only have a short amount of time to live, and they take advantage of that. They enjoy the time they have left, and they don't take anything for granted. Jamie and Georgia don't mind what others have to say, they both know and understand what the important things in life are.

Feature Article : Holocaust

“The Jewish Massacre”

Did you know that the Nazis hated the Jewish so much that after they murdered them, they used their remains as soap, lampshades, and pretty much anything else they needed? The Nazis hated the Jewish so much, that they were willing to do almost anything to banish them. This mass murder of the Jewish all resulted in the Holocaust.

Who were the Murderers? The Holocaust took place in Germany during 1938 and ended in 1945. This all took place during World War II. One day Adolph Hitler decided that he hated the Jewish so much that he wanted them gone. He came with a plan that he would catch as many Jewish citizens as he could and then kill them in gas chambers. He knew he couldn’t be stopped because he was their new leader. He also knew that he couldn’t do this alone so he gathered up a group of men in which he called Nazis. Hitler and the Nazis only did this because they thought they were better than the Jewish.

When the Jewish found out the Nazis were out to kill them, they were hurt. They couldn’t believe they were after them just because they were Jewish. Most of the families tried to find non-Jewish families to stay with. The families that were not Jewish took a risk of hiding them, but they hid them anyway. Sometimes the Jewish families would get separated and some families would get caught and killed. The Nazis would come and search their homes. The adults would hide in hidden areas, but the children were just assumed to be children of the families that were not Jewish.

Nazis would find the Jewish wherever they could and ship them in vans, trains, and other modes of transportation. No matter how much room they had, they would pack them together where they could hardly breathe. This journey started wherever they were and ended in Germany. The trip could take many days or a few hours, it just depended on where they were coming from. While on the trip the Jewish weren’t fed r given water. If they needed to use the restroom, they would just have to wait until they got to Germany or use it on themselves and everyone around them. Once they arrived at Germany the Nazis would decide which camp to send them to.

There were three different types of camps, the wok camp, the red-cross camp, and the death camps. If they were sent to the work camps, they were forced to work and treated harshly. The Nazis would make them their slaves and would brutally beat them until they did what they were told. Some even died at this camp from such hard labor. At the Red-Cross camp the Red-Cross would come and medically attend to the sick Jewish people. The last and worst camp was the Death Camp. At the death camp the Jewish would be killed by gas, hung or killed in any other violent way. No matter which camp they were sent to they would all end up in the Death Camp.

During the Holocaust a lot of lives were lost, due to the senseless act of cruelty brought on by one evil man,” Adolf Hitler”. He had the heart to kill so man people, just because he thought he was better than them. He made innocent people suffer just because of their religion. He gassed, hung, and killed them in other violent ways. This related to today because people discriminate people because of their religion not because of who they are.

personal opinion
I think this is wrong it is probably one of the worst things i have ever heard of. i don't understand why the Nazis would want to kill the Jewish for no real reason. i mean the Jewish people did nothing to deserve such brutal punishment. like using the remains of them for soap and putting them into gas chambers to kill them even the children is just very outrageous to me!!!!!!

What do you know about Country Music?
Country music tells stories. To me, the stories told in country music are more understandable than any other type. It can be slow, and calm, it can be religious, fast, and upbeat. I like Country Music. It's probably my favorite!

If you were a color, what would it be, and why?

I would be Neon Pink. I would be Neon Pink because it is a very bright, and outgoing color. I think my personality is very outgoing. In my opinion, when people think pink, they think happy. I am a very happy person.

I love you
you love me
We're a happy family
with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you
won't you say you love me too.

Amazing grace how seeet
the sound that saved a wretch
like me, I once was lost but now I'm found, was blind
but now I see.

Twinkle, twinkle little star how I wonder what you are.

A movie I've seen
Karlee Willoughby
9-8
A movie I've seen that goes with our theme is "My Sisters Keeper" In the movie the little girl lives out her dreams during the last few days she has to live. The theme is to live like you were dying without any regrets. Right before the young girl passed away, she had one last wish to full fill. She told the doctor she wanted to go to the beach one last time, she knew she was about to pass on. So her father let her full fill her last dream by taking her to a luxurious trip to the beach.

A theme last holiday other than the original
Kaylyn Cook
9-10
Another theme for "Last Holiday" other than "Live like you were dying" could be "don't watch your life just waste away". Do something with your life, when you look back be proud of the lifetime you have had. Most people think "Well, when i get older i will travel the world!" Why wait? You never know how much time you have left. Take advantage of the time that you still have here on earth. Figure out what you want to do in life, and take charge to fulfill your dreams!

However, when something happens to Ricky she had only friends to help her in her lugubrious times. She becomes incognito and some see her as factious, when in reality, she IS serious. When everything goes wrong, and no one seems to be left, everyone is wondering "Who is the murderer?" Is someone really after Britney, or is Britney after herself?

Editorial

Dear Advocate,
We are in Mrs. Mullin's accelerated English two class. We are writing an editorial to express one of our concerns in the school system.
In our school system our scheduling requires everyone to take a health and P.E. class. You have to pass the class to graduate. We understand that our society is concerned with our teens health. But do they understand that not everyone needs a P.E. class. Do you know why this is such a big concern?
We come forward to say that we feel like students who play two or more sports, should be exempt from a P.E. class. We believe this because some athletes are having too much physical activity. Say for instance you have a student that is a star basketball player and very competitive in Cross Country. You would think their very active. I know that Cross Country practices four days a week and competes on Saturdays. I know they run up to five miles every night. Which is a tremendous amount of exercise. Now say this student had a week day Cross country meet and has a P.E. class. In P.E. you are expected to run at least a mile. When they go to run their race, which is 3.1 miles, that will be very tiring and stressful.
I'm not saying physical activity is bad, but too much of a good thing can be bad. So we as students are willing to come in to school and work with counselors to work out a new schedule. Without P.E. athletes could open their minds to more curriculum. We do believe that a health class should be mandatory, but without the P.E. class . Please take our concern for our fellow classmates into consideration.
